A Blustery Day Don’t Slow Us Down

Today was so wet and rainy that the rain was falling sideways and even flowing a bit uphill. We braved the elements and toured around town and up to a big park with fields that had statues and cannons, called the Plains of Abraham (the lady showing us around told us this is where the British defeated the French in 1759). We also walked around a part of Quebec City that has a big stone wall almost all the way around and saw some very old buildings and monuments.

A blustery walk about town, watch out or the wind will blow you over.

After our walk about, we were cold and wet so we found a warm and cozy place to enjoy a nice bowl of French Canadian pea soup, so yummy!

Later we got to go for a drive over to Île d’Orleans for a fun dinner with French music and singing. On our way there we even stopped to see the Montmorecny Falls, the water was sure rushing fast after all the rain.
