Old Town, New Town, Basilica and Oratory

It was an early morning start, and a bus ride, but we made it to Montreal by lunch time. There is so much to see, we met a lady to show us around town and tell us about all the history. We looked at some big, tall skyscrapers (even the first one ever built a hundred years ago), and we saw some really old buildings from when Montreal first started (that’s really old). The lady took us inside The Notre-Dame Basilica and told us all about how it was built and some of the people that worked there.

Lots of pretty stained glass, and it tells stories, too.

After that we went up a really big hill, called Mount Royal, to visit Vincent. He was at the Saint Joseph Oratory and gets to play a fancy organ that has 5811 pipes. He told us all about how it works, we saw how he had to use his hands and his feet to play a song.

Can we help you turn the music pages?

It’s been a busy day, now we get to go for a special dinner.
