Look it’s Ludwig on a horse!
Ludwig I Koenig von Bayern was King of Bavaria after his father Maximillian I died in 1825. We heard he’s the guy that started Oktoberfest in 1810. As part of a horse race that was part of his wedding celebration, when he married Therese, that included inviting all the local brewers to supply beer for the event.
Maybe that’s why he gets a statue.

The Muenchen (that’s Munich in real German) Glockenspiel is famous. We had to look way high up a tower and plays music chime tunes while we get to watch dancing figures pretend at jousting (knights on horses charging with big sticks) and dancers celebrating.

Ah, the perfect way to end our day … sharing pretzels and a big mug of beer at the world famous Hofbrauhaus.
