Looking out the window from our alpine hotel in the little village of Ettal we see it’s a rainy day in the Bavarian Alps.
Looks like we’ll need our jackets as we head off to our next stop … Nuremberg. Bis später (that’s see you later in German) to the Alps.

But it doesn’t always rain in Ettal. When we arrived a couple of days ago the weather was fine (but the internet not so good).
We could see this amazing Benedictine monastery. We heard that the monks still live there are make a special herb liqueur and cheese and beer, too.

Wow, we made it to our cruise boat! We’re now sailing away from Nuremberg.
While we sail through the locks on the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal we’ll head up to the lounge for “tea time”, it’s certainly an interesting selection of “tea” we see being served.
The travel lady told us we’ll wake up sailing along the Danube River.
