After a very long journey, that seemed like days , we have arrived at the first destination of our adventure, Amsterdam.

Look over there, that’s our hotel, now how do we get across the canal.
Our hotel is the Pulitzer Amsterdam. The hotel right on the canals in the heart of old town Amsterdam. It is actually 25 canal houses, built in very distinctive Dutch style some time around the 17th and 18th centuries, that have been connected and converted to the rooms of the hotel. They stretch between two canals (over an entire city block) with a network of gardens, covered pathways and common rooms in the middle bringing everything together. Maybe one evening it will be warm enough to have dinner in a garden restaurant.
The canal houses on the Keizersgracht, which is closest to the old town area, were owned by the rich, upper class people and we can see much of the opulent charm from the original time. The ones on Prinsengracht were mostly where warehouse activities happened so a bit less fancy. Those room are a simpler style but still from the same era.
